Vacancies on the Parish Council

 

Great Longstone Parish Council currently has 3 vacancies for councillors. If you are interested in joining our small team of councillors please contact Parish Clerk Sarah Stokes for details (parishcouncil@greatlongstone.org) 01629 640851.

 

If 10 or more people on the local electoral roll contact the DDDC returning officer by 15th June 2022 an election for these vacant posts will be held. Otherwise they will be filled by co-option.

Who we are and what we do
The Parish Council is the lowest layer of local government and most closely in touch with local people. The Councillors are all required to live or work in the village and are thus accessible by the community at any time.
