Gt Longstone WI meets on the first Wednesday of each month (except for January and August) in the Village Hall in Great Longstone. Our meetings start at 7.30pm with some business and then we are generally entertained by a speaker on a variety of topics or a demonstration. There is time after the talk for a cup of tea/coffee and a look at the trading stall or a chat with other members.

During 2007, we met with other WIs at Group Meetings and Council Meetings, we created an entry for the Co-operative Craft Section at the Bakewell Show, sent two delegates to the AGM at the Royal Albert Hall in June and enjoyed several meals out and other outings.  Members of the Walking Group (+ dog) have also been out each month enjoying rambles in the hills and dales.

Usually each month we have a themed Trading Stall for which members bring appropriate goods for sale.
