It has been over two years now since we have added any content, so apologies for not keeping you all informed.
At the last AGM Frank Hammond informed us of intention to stand down as our President and Andrew Bowers was asked to take over and kindly accepted. Our thanks go to Frank for his many years of support and service, especially through the hard times when the Club would have almost certainly folded if it wasn't for his enthusiasm.
The election of officers were as follows:
President - Andrew Bowers
Chairman - Greg Saunders
Vice Chairman - James Beverley
Secretary - Lucy Harland
Treasurer - Rachel Saunders
The extension to the mower store is complete and is now home to our latest addition; an upgraded outfield mower that we have been able to invest in after securing the mowing contract for the next three years. We aim to provide a beautifully maintained recreation field which is the centre-piece of our Village. We have also installed new showers and upgraded the wiring in both pavilions.
We are planning to celebrate our 150th year on Saturday 24th July with various activities and starting with a cricket match played in period costume. We are hoping that it will be a fun day out for all the family with food and refreshments being served. There will also be a prize for the best dressed person.
We were all sad to learn of the death of Mark Lythgoe. He was instrumental in raising funds that put the Club back on the map and was one of our keenest supporters. He will be sorely missed.

As we look forward to a new season of cricket there is a lot work to be done on the square, ground and pavilion. There will be a committee meeting in the near future to discus these issues and set the date of the AGM.
There is also a proposal to apply for planning permission to extend the store room on the end of the pavilion, so it will be a busy and exciting season.
If anyone wishes to join the club either to play or help in other ways please contact club captain Mr. Chris Barnes or any club member. Other information such as fixtures and results will be posted as they become available so please check this site regularly.
