Junior Fell Race
main adult fell race and covers a
distance of approximately
2km.There are prizes for the
winning Infant and Junior boy and
girl and all children get a certificate
with their race time.

Where does the time go to? My
thanks to everyone who helped in any
way to make it a success, with special
thanks to David for the use of the
school again, to Vicky and the ladies
on the refreshments, to Cox's for the
donation of milk, to all who gave the
lovely cakes etc, to Georgina for
organising the steward's rota, to the
married on 22
despite the downpours. The sun did
come out just in time for the bride and
groom to leave the church. The best
man was Dan Cox, cousin of groom.
The two junior bridesmaids included
Miss Bethany Williams, daughter of
the bride, and Miss Julia Harrod, a
friend. The reception was held at the
famous Red Lion at Stonedge. The
happy couple honeymooned in
Torquay and have made their home in
Great Longstone and would like to
thank both families, the best man, their
bridesmaids and all who attended their
special day.
David for the road signs (which received
so many compliments). Many thanks
to Lord Hattersley, who donated a
picture to be sold to the highest bidder.
I have not received the final figures yet
but think that we have exceeded last
year's total.We certainly sold double
the number of pictures.
